Tandem Cadiz - Language exchange

If you are an Erasmus student interested on practicing Spanish with native students or you are a local student wishing to improve your skills in other languages, come on Wednesday 14th April to our Tandem meeting (language exchange) in Cadiz.

The Tandem will take place in the dining room of the Filosophy and
Languages Faculty in Cadiz from 18:00 till 19:30.

Before that (17:00-18:00), in the same place, the CSLM has organized a language exchange with ESN Cadiz's collaboration.

That language exchange will be done as an exercise in the language courses offered by the CSLM. On the end of this exercise we expect most of the participants will stay in the cafeteria so it will the perfect time for having a free exchange.

The year 2012 is a special date for Cadiz, not because of the end of the

GUIDED TOUR AND CADIZ CARNIVAL WITH ERASMUS FROM SPAIN

On Saturday 20th February we have a guided tour (17:00-19:00) in Cadiz with 300 Erasmus from the Whole Andalusia and other Spanish cities. After the tour we'll enjoy together the carnival in Cadiz. ¡Join the group!

Walking guided tour related to Cadiz and America (also known in that time as Western India). Meeting point: near the statue of the women that are making cigars (las cigarreras) at 12:00. It is situated in front of the train station, near the "Palacio de congresos". The place is also known as "Cuesta de las calesas".

During the seventeenth and eighteenth century, the trade related with America (also known as Western Indias) was controlled in Cadiz. Every ship that wanted to go to the new World had to use the harbour of Cadiz and from there had to stop first in the harbour of Cadiz. Lots of traders arrived to the city. They used to live in big houses with towers so they could see from their houses the shipsarriving to the harbour. Cadiz was a very prosperous place, living a golden age

"La Mezquita de Jerez" (the Mosque) is placed inside the collection of historical monuments called "El Alcazar". Dated in the twelfth century, it is one of the few buildings in “Almohade” style in Spain.

ESN SPAIN TRIP TO GRANADA
